03 Nov - 06 Nov, 2013 partners from Yablanitsa, Bulgaria visited Väätsa in Estonia. The topic of the first meeting was how to reuse waste materials to keep our homeplace green. We organized workshops and visits as well as introduced our country and the history of Estonia..
First day there was an opening ceremony where a mayor greeted partners and wished success to the project. After that a school and manor house were visited. In a municipality centre the mayor introduced our local community, projects and enterprises. In culture house there was a workshop for making vases from waste paper.
In playschool there was a concert with fork songs and dances. In library guests made reflectors and enjoyed Estonian traditional dish Kama.
Second day Väätsa Landfill Centre was visited, and a factory Plastrex. - the only one in Europe that produces plastic material made of garbage for building fences etc.
Third day Iru Power Plant near Tallinn was visited where we were introduced a new part - producing energy from garbage, opened in June 2013.
Guests were introduced with history in Paide rampart hill and old town as well as Tallinn old town.
