From 17-21 March, 2014 the second meeting was held in Yablanica, Bulgaria. We visited institutions involved in the project as well as factories connected to green energy and historical sights.
First day there was a meeting in municipality centre where Estonian team was welcomed by the Chief of local council and mayor of Yablanica. At playschool different workshops were carried out. Kids and guests made art of waste paper and leftovers.
After lunch culture centre and library were visited. We were welcomed by orchestra. After that a trip to the caves in Brestnica was organized.
On Wednesday we visited waste water treatment plant near Yablanica. It was built in 2013 and cost 4,5 million euros. It serves about 5000 people in Yablanica and its surroundings.
At school we were welcomed by dancing students. Workshops for how to reuse waste materials were carried out. After that we visited eco-village and monastery in the mountains.
On Thursday there was a visit to cement plant "Titan". We were shown how cement was made using garbage. Also a visit to the county town Lovech was organized.
